All applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older and must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Rough Creek is located off of Hwy 67 in between Stephenville and Glen Rose.
All applicants must be willing to obtain their TABC and Food Handler's license paid for by RCL.
GENERAL JOB EXPLANATION:
Perform the duties of server / service attendant in all food and beverage outlets courteously and efficiently according to hotel standards.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:
Arrive on time to each scheduled shift, in proper uniform, with appropriate equipment, in a friendly, caring frame of mind to assist all guests, management and co-workers.
Perform opening and closing duties, taking care to look beyond the boundaries of assigned duties for any other tasks that may assist others, as well.
Have thorough working knowledge of food and beverage menus and ability to explain menu items to guests.
Must maintain complete knowledge of liquor brands, beers, wines, champagne/sparkling wines and non-alcoholic selections available to hotel guests.
Attend all scheduled meetings:
departmental, all staff, pre-shift, and others as scheduled by management.
Greet guests in a caring, friendly and courteous manner when ANY guest is encountered in the bar, restaurant or throughout the property.
Execute and promote all Rough Creek Lodge standards, including 'upselling' in all Food and Beverage Outlets Be familiar with and strictly adhere to alcohol service laws and have the ability to act proactively regarding service to minors or intoxicated guests.
Manage all cash handling, room charges, and credit card transactions accurately.
Polish glassware, silverware, and china as required and assist conference services as needed.
Report all tips according to IRS laws and Rough Creek Lodge tip pooling procedures.
Never directly or indirectly solicit a gratuity from a guest at a table or in a guest room (when delivering food or beverages).
Cooperate with all related departments.
Exercise good reasoning and problem resolution skills; be able to think independently and make judgment calls based on operating standards of Rough Creek Lodge.
Become familiar with the smooth operation of the POS system and have the ability to perform all types of transactions, whether automated or manual, in the event of the system going down.
Adhere to cash handling procedures and credit card transaction procedures, processing the end of shift cash/credit card totals, all paperwork according to Accounting procedures.
Ensure opening and closing checklists are properly and completely executed every shift.
Assist in monthly inventory duties as needed.
Perform all other duties and responsibilities as directed by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum age requirement:
18 years of age Minimum of 2-3 years food and beverage service experience Ability to lift and carry a minimum 50 lb.
in an overhead position.
Ability to push, pull, lift and do abundant physical movements throughout the work areas.
Ability to read, write and communicate English very clearly Ability to perform basic mathematical and accounting functions Ability to be well organized, work neatly, and focus on details of the job.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS High School diploma and or equivalent technical or trade school certification.
TABC certified Food Handler Certified CPR certification preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
