Wildlife, Recreation, & Equine Rough Creek Lodge and Resort, a luxury resort located between Glen Rose and Stephenville, is seeking a mature and friendly individual with an outgoing personality to join our Recreation and Wildlife Department Team.
This individual will be directly interacting with guests and will need to be knowledgeable and need to be able to execute all activities that we have to offer.
General Job Explanation:
1.
This will be a part time position, with some full time hours available depending on business pressures.
2.
Knowledgeable of all details regarding the recreational activities throughout the operations is critical, including but not limited to climbing wall and zipline, tomahawks and archery, fishing, hayrides, pony rides and petting corral animal care, children train rides, nature trail, wildlife tours, and top tracer.
3.
Assisting in all Wildlife/ Recreation/ Equine activities as business levels dictates, including all resort fee activities.
4.
Proper Attendance is critical for the success for this position.
You can expect to work most weekends as business levels dictate.
5.
Care and cleaning of all equipment related to recreation.
6.
Ensure that 5-star standards are maintained (HUUGGS).
7.
Attend weekly departmental meetings 8.
Have strong organizational and communication skills 9.
This is an entry level position; advancement is common with self starting hard workers.
Job Requirements:
Valid Class C Driver's License Must be at least 18 years of age Professional Mannerisms and Appearance.
Capability of interfacing directly and indirectly with guests in a clear concise and patient manner.
Ability to adapt easily to changes in the services, schedules and daily functions.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English very clearly.
Ability to identify and address safety issues immediately.
Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Wages and Benefits Starting pay is a flat $15 per hour.
Once a performance evaluation and written test is completed and passed by the new hire, the hourly wage will be $12 per hour PLUS service charges on paid activities that the guide facilitates.
This means that your average hourly rate can be $16 - $30 per hour.
Please note that your average rate per hour is directly related to your personal efforts and knowledge when it comes to facilitating guest activities.
