Responsible for creating and maintaining a safe environment for patients, personnel and visitors.
Close cooperation with all departments.
All job functions are carried out according to Glen Rose Medical Center's Policies and Procedures and Mission/Vision Statement.
The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Director Engineering.
Providing On-Call support 1 week out of each month is required.
Skills A qualified person must possess good working knowledge of how to use hand tools, power tools and basic plumbing.
A working knowledge of basic electrical is beneficial.
Physical Requirements General good health and stress coping ability.
Respectful and courteous at all times.
Frequent walking and climbing ladders throughout the working day.
Full mobility and ability to participate in vigorous activity when inspecting, supervising and performing work.
Handles and manipulates tools, equipment, and office materials.
Able to make emergency decisions working under stress.
Ability to speak and hear to allow discussions with Peers and Patients, as well as making accurate physical assessments.
Safety used when utilizing tools at all times and the ability to work in hot and cold environments.
Must be capable of lifting objects up to 50lbs without pain or discomfort.
Education High School graduate or equivalent 5 years' experience in building maintenance, plumbing, and basic electrical is preferred CPR Certified a plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
